Should I have "humility" and go to this party of a "fake friend" who I don't like?

I personally detest this form of humility. Parties are supposed to be a celebration where people have fun, not where they go to be seen as fake friends to build up some sort of image. The only reason you should go to this party is if you get something out of it for yourself.
