My boyfriend always puts himself first. How can I tell him without turning it into an argument?

You make it seem like he doesn't put you first but maybe to him you aren't first. You may think that you are serious but maybe to him it's not. He may be choosing his family over you because he knows they will always be there for him and maybe someday you won't.My ex loved his dog more than me, i wasn't always there but his dog was- i was ok when we broke up because i knew that it suited him better. You obviously love him and don't want to break up, think to see if him being egotistical is changeable, because most of the time it's not.
