How hard is Freshman volleyball?

How hard is it to get into high school volleyball? i have no experience with volleyball whatsoever, but i really want to try it. Like i know how to pass but thats pretty much it. im still working on setting and serving(any tips for that?) They have volleyball camps for freshman, but do you need experience BEFORE going to the camps? What do i need to know before tryouts?
